Press Release OCTOBER 12, 2020
NORTHWESTERN R.I. ARTISTS TO SHARE THEIR PROCESS AND ART
Artist Open Studios will happen Saturday, November 7th, 2020 from 10am-4pm. This is a time for the public to get a personal glimpse into the studios and lives of local artists featured on this year's tour. It will take place in the towns of Foster, Glocester, and Scituate, Rhode Island.
AOS, Artist Open Studios, is a FREE family event that offers an opportunity to learn about artists and their studio environments. It's a unique experience
where artists open their work spaces and people can learn a lot about the artist... how they create, the source of their inspiration, and even why they create. Studios range from old renovated barns, to new
rustic barns, to customed-designed studios which are attached to their homes.
We are celebrating our 20th year!! Come see local artists displaying their creations with each adapting to the current Covid situation. Some will throw open
the doors to their safe, clean and spacious workspaces, others will be demonstrating and presenting in outdoor installations, and still others may be open by private appointment.
In addition -- new this year -- enjoy our online video presentation on our website, produced by artist member photographer John Femino.
Before starting out, look through our website to print our map of artists' locations, view examples of our artists' work, and learn additional artist information.
The pandemic has brought challenges to us all; but sharing the beauty and energy of the visual experience with the public is a joyous and calming break for
both artists and visitors.
Masks and social distancing is required for all site visits.
Make the day exciting, informative, and safe for all.
If you need additional information, call 401-241-7725. We hope to see you there!
Thank you from the artists of A.O.S.
